Smith College 2018 Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

  • In recognition of Women's History Month, join us to help end the gender imbalance on Wikipedia by participating in a communal updating of Wikipedia entries on women artists in the SCMA collection. No experience is needed. We'll provide training, reference materials, and brain snacks. Just bring your laptop and power cord - or use ours!

    Editors will have the chance to work (or relax) on beanbags inside the museum, sign up for a restorative yoga sessions in the galleries, and enjoy dinner from Holyoke Hummus Company's "The Great Garbanzo" Food Truck. The first 60 students to sign up for a 15-minute editor training will receive a $10 meal voucher and guaranteed spot in one the yoga sessions!

    The Art + Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon is organized by Smith College Libraries and Smith College Museum of Art.

    Art+Feminism’s main purpose is to improve content on women and the arts on Wikipedia. Nearly 500 edit-a-thons have been held since 2014.
