Free Family Event Afternoon @ My Museum: Creative Kids!

  • Celebrate creativity through the arts!

    Kids can explore and create their own Museum masterpieces during this afternoon event.  Drop-in activities for ages preschoolers + include storytime in the galleries, art making, and a live musical performance (2:30pm) by Nick Deysher of “In the Nick of Time.”

    Free admission; open to all; no registration required. Wheelchair and stroller accessible.

    Free snacks provided. Smith student volunteers will facilitate the event.

River of Gold Exhibition Lecture by Julia Mayo

BUS TRIP: New York City

  •  Saturday, November 9, 2013: Travel by motor coach to New York City! Includes 1 IFPDA Print Fair ticket p/p, drop-offs at the Park Avenue Armory, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met). Light snack, bus fare, and art exploration guide included so you can explore the city and art fairs on your own for the day. The bus will depart promptly at 8:00 a.m. in front of SCMA on Elm St., Northampton, MA 01063. Bus departs for the return trip at the Met. at 7 PM.

    Jessica Nicoll will share exhibition highlights and the curatorial team process.  Immediately following, Taiga Ermansons will lead an informal gallery conversation. Story sharing encouraged.
