Building a Creative Career: Smithsonian Curator Melissa Ho (waitlist available)
Program registration is full. Waitlist is available.
Smith students, meet Melissa Ho, Curator of Twentieth-century Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, at this informal student-moderated lunch. Hear about Melissa's career as a curator of 20th-century art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. We'll talk about how to build a community of support for your career and how to get your start in museum work. Join us for a rare chance to connect with the curator of the Smith College Museum of Art's current exhibit, Composing Color: Paintings by Alma Thomas from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Lunch will be provided for the first 30 attendees, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The Building a Creative Career series offers opportunities for students to have informal discussions with visiting arts professionals about how to thrive while working toward your goals.
This event is a collaboration between the Lazarus Arts, Media & Communications Career Community and Smith College Museum of Art.
