Art After Hours: Disco Night for Smith Students
For all Smith students (and their guests). Always free.
Get your groove on and celebrate SCMA's new exhibition Michel Kameni: Portraits of an Independent Africa. See portraits from the 60s and 70s taken by Cameroonian studio photographer Michel Kameni that showcase the vibrant personalities and fashion of those living in a newly independent Cameroon. We invite you to be inspired and find joy through art and each other. Stay for the dance party with WOZQ party DJs featuring hits from the 60s and 70s along with the Cameroonian beats that shaped disco.
6–8pm Enjoy four floors of art along with snacks, drinks, and music in the Atrium. Create your own Kameni-inspired “mirror portrait” with photographer Steph Craig in the photobooth*.
*Photobooth slots are limited! First come, first served. Participants will receive their print after the event along with a digital file.
8:30pm Museum galleries close.
8–9pm Dance Party with WOZQ in the Atrium!
