Join Friends of the Museum for a special guided tour of Composing Color: Paintings by Alma Thomas from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Led by Emma Chubb, Charlotte Feng Ford 83 Curator of Contemporary Art, this tour offers a closer look at Alma Thomas's vibrant paintings while exploring the stories, themes, and artistic innovations behind the exhibition.

Before the tour, gather with fellow SCMA Friends in Boeckman Sculpture Court (the museum atrium) at 2 p.m. to enjoy a Crooked Sticks popsicle and browse special finds at the SCMA pop-up shop as part of the Sidewalk Sale.
