Second Friday Schedule
4–7 p.m.: Hands-on Art Making
Location: Boeckman Sculpture Court (Museum Atrium)
Try your hand at "felt sushi" with artist Paige Quinn-Vasic. Learn a unique wet-felting technique to create colorful, swirly soft sculptures. All ages are welcome to participate! 

6–6:45 p.m.: Gallery Talk 
Location: Third Floor

April Second Friday

SCMA is free and open to all!
Join us from 4–8 p.m. for an evening of art, making, and community at the Smith College Museum of Art.  
Galleries are open until 8pm.

From 4-6 p.m. Visit Hillyer Art Library to enjoy an installation of children's art from The Smith College Center for Early Childhood Education at Fort Hill. This program is presented as part of Northampton's Week of the Young Child Celebration.

Pop-Up: French Prints of the 17th-century: Art Nature, and Politics

11am–3:30pm

The Society for Interdisciplinary French Seventeenth-Century Studies 44th Annual International Conference present a pop-up exhibition that includes a selection of prints at the Cunningham Center for the Study of Prints, Drawings and Photographs at the Smith College Museum of Art.

Co-sponsored by Smith College, the Five Colleges and Villa Albertine-Consulat Général de France a Boston.

March 14 Second Friday

4–8pm

SCMA is free and open to all!

From 4–7pm: Hands-on! Art making for all ages, inspired by works on view. Design and draw your own special place inspired by architectural forms in Younes Rahmoun’s Ghorfa series, in Hubert Robert’s Pyramids, and in Lilly Martin Spencer’s painting Reading the Legend.

Artful adventures in and around the museum for 2–5 year-olds and their caregivers! Explore a different theme in each session on selected Fridays throughout the year.

Registered families can join us in the Atrium of the Smith College Museum of Art for open play and art experiences from 9:30–11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, sign up for a museum tour slot for 9:45, 10:15, or 10:45 a.m.
