Museum admission and programming is free to all!
Drop by the Smith College Museum of Art to explore the galleries, talk with museum staff, listen to student-created playlists inspired by works of art on view, and create your own work of art to take home.
Art making is available from 1–4 pm.

FREE K-12 Educator Workshop: Exploring East Asian Art in SCMA’s Ancient World Gallery Co-presented by the Five College Center for East Asian Studies and Smith College Museum of Art
SCMA, partnering with Northampton Public School's Early Childhood Center, is pleased to offer this series of thematic stroller tours. The February 9 tour theme is LOVE. This program is for caregivers, with infants in tow, to connect with other caregivers and build community through art.

Join Emma Chubb, Charlotte Feng Ford ’83 Curator of Contemporary Art, for a look at how abstract artworks in our collections evoke and engage the body. This themed tours will last between 30 and 45 minutes and highlight works of art across the museum’s galleries.

Members are invited to join SCMA curators Yao Wu, Jane Chace Carroll Curator of Asian Art and Emma Chubb, Charlotte Feng Ford '83 Curator of Contemporary Art, to view and discuss two recent film installations. Isaac Julien: Lessons of the Hour and FX Harsono NAMA.
These two films are in conjunction with Smith College’s 2021–22 campus-wide initiative, “Year on Democracies,” and examine notions of democracy nationally and globally.
