A Pair of Paintings in SCMA Then\Now\Next

One of my favorite pairings from 'SCMA Then\Now\Next' is separated by nearly five centuries: a Cubist painting by Picasso and a small Renaissance panel painting.

Open Eyes: An interactive look at a surprise work of art-FULL

3–3:30pm

Come together in a “Zoom Gallery” to share and hear what others see while taking a close-look at one work of art. The informal conversation will be facilitated by museum educator Taiga Ermansons.  No prior art knowledge is necessary.

Expanding the View

'South Pass Wind River Mountains, Wyoming' came into SCMA's collection nearly 70 years ago, and our view keeps changing.

SCMA is proud to partner with Visual AIDS for Day With(out) Art 2020.
The video program, TRANSMISSIONS premiered online on November 30 at 6 pm EST followed by a live Q&A.

Starting December 1, the videos are available to stream for free at: visualaids.org/transmissions
